Contrary to public opinion, the holiday season can bring pleasure without adding pounds. Your favorite Yuletide treats can indeed stay on the holiday menu. Don't tamper with tradition but trim the trimmings!
Here are some tips to trim fat from your holiday meals. Instead of snacking on nuts try pretzels. Rather than dark meat have white meat. Have a glass of Champagne instead of eggnog. Forgo the green bean casserole and add fresh green beans with toasted almonds to the menu. Replace the pecan pie with pumpkin pie which has half the fat.
Don't deny yourself but be selective in your food choices. Again moderation and modification is the key! Happy Holidays!
