Advanced Life Support Courses

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are educational programs available to hospital and non-hospital health care professionals. ACLS and PALS courses are taught following the 2005 American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. NRP follows the American Heart Association/American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines.
Contact hours for each course is stated below. Sutter Amador Hospital is an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN), Provider # 01285.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support courses are offered 3 times per year. 12 nursing contact hours are available after completion of this course. Precourse preparation is required.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support -

PALS courses are offered 3 times per year. 12 nursing contact hours are available after completion of this course. Precourse preparation is required.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program

(NRP)

NRP courses are offered twice per year. 12 nursing contact hours are available after completion of this course. Precourse preparation is required.
