Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers courses are offered at Sutter Amador Hospital on a monthly basis. These courses are taught utilizing the 2005 American Heart Association guidelines. Skills taught include CPR for victims of all ages, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) and the recognition of life-threatening emergencies, such as sudden cardiac arrest and stroke, and how to respond to them.
After successful completion of this course, the participant will receive a certification card good for two (2) years.
This course is taught according to the American Heart Association (AHA). The AHA does not receive any money from this course. The AHA does not endorse any program or service other than those presented within the American Heart Association materials.

All others: $35.00, includes a textbook.
Class size is limited, so registration is mandatory.
