Junior Volunteer Program

The Junior Volunteer Program at Sutter Amador Hospital started in May, 2000. Since then, the program has had over 25 volunteers who have completed over 500 hours of volunteer service. The Junior Volunteer Program is available for students, between 14 and 18 years of age. Volunteers are required to work between 4-12 hours per week.

Junior Volunteers are able to give in many ways. They help patients and staff in departments such as Extended Care, Medical/Surgical, Admissions, Radiology, and others.

All Junior Volunteers must submit an application and complete Tuberculosis and drug screens. Applications are available at the Information Desk, located in the front lobby of the hospital, or from the Human Resources Department.
