Through sponsorships, charity care and programs Sutter Amador Hospital contributes millions of dollars back into our community each year.- 2003 – SAH provided $11.2 million in Community Benefit or 25% of our Net Patient Revenue.
- 2002 – SAH provided $8.9 million in Community Benefit or 19% of our Net Patient Revenue
- 2001 – SAH provided $7.9 million in Community Benefit or 18% of our Net Patient Revenue
The Annual Health and Fitness Festival and our participation in dozens of local organizations and service clubs are just a couple of examples of our commitment to giving back to the community.

Educational Support
|
To further assist its community Sutter Amador Hospital has formed a Speaker's Bureau to provide local clubs and organizations with guest speakers from the hospital free of charge. Guest speakers have an expertise is a variety of topics such as first aid, Diabetes, cholesterol, respiratory problems, rabies, the importance of CPR, information on our new facility and more.
Sutter Amador Hospital also occasionally provides a series of educational articles to the local paper and local raido station called Health Check. The articles, written by healthcare experts, educate the community about health conditions such as flu shots, botulism, and others.
Various classes are also offered, such as Better Breathers, Child Birth Education, Diabetes Education and Safe Sitters.

Board Participation
|

Employees of Sutter Amador Hospital support their community by participating in the Board of Directors for local service organizations. Employees are involved with Hospice and Friends of Hospice, the American Cancer Society, Gold Country Health and Wellness, American Diabetes Association and others.

Health and Fitness Festival
